Direct Engagement

AMBL starts with APPLIED

A normal academic study involves data collection, processing, analysis and publication of results.  Transfer of knowledge is assumed to happen through the publication of peer-reviewed articles.  In some cases, original data is shared with data repositories utilized largely by other scientists writing other peer-reviewed articles.

The Applied Marine Biogeography Lab is focused on informing managers, policy makers and industry through the delivery of timely products that expand the boundary of the normal academic deliverables.  We develop and deliver knowledge at scale in a transparent and repeatable manner.  We seek solutions that can be applied across management units, policy arenas and industry sectors.
